Developing with Claude and Apple XCODE

A few months ago I started using Claude at work, and my first experiment was writing a book. Together we’ve built out a framework for the storyline, and each week I’m working with Claude to finally get ideas I’ve carried around for the better part of three decades down on paper.

I’m definitely not a writer, which got me wondering: what else can Claude do? How can it help someone who’s more of an “idea person”?

When I found out Claude could help with app development, I went straight down the rabbit hole.

I’m keeping the details of what I’m building under wraps for now, but it’s been a really interesting project. I hope to release it as my first real step into basic programming with Claude.

Last night I handed the app to K and R to try out. K had suggestions right away, and they were so good that I’ve already built them in. At first I had to explain what I was going for, because the concept didn’t fully land. Once he had the app on his phone, though, it clicked, and he came up with some great ideas.
